I used to live in MacPherson area where it is nearer town and where the actions were. I used to like the 'busy-ness' and 'noise'. ; )
But as I grew older,.. and wiser (maybe), I tend to like and enjoy peacefulness more. And seemed to yearn to go back to nature.. If not closer..
Yishun is a big step in that direction in a way.. yet we are just a few steps away from the conveniences we are used to. I always enjoy the drive back to Yishun. You see more trees (maybe a perception, but a good one) and things seemed less crowded along the way. The roads are longer in Thomson and Sembawang stretch. And when you look up in the evening, the sky is so serene. I feel much relax.
So if you wish for a break from your routines, you may want to consider attending a baking class in Yishun.
